Welcome To My Home Page

This site is dedicated to the wonderful world of the creatures, both wild and domestic, which share our beautiful world!

I have returned to my first love- rescue of wild animals, and restarted VIPERRS, to rescue alligators, snakes from horrified homeowners, along with any other reptiles which might be impacted by the activities of humans.  Please feel free to check out the links I have provided for other conservation sites. Terra Mau is still a sanctuary for feral cats, but is not in operation as of yet since the disaster of having lost most of the rescues to a virus brought in by an inconsiderate volunteer.

Site Updates

Be sure to check out the changes to the site on a quarterly basis- Updates are usually made by the first week of the month! Put us on your favorites list, and check us out!

Sorry for the delay in updating the site.

This site was last updated on:

We are changing the site to rededicate our efforts to the originals-the reptiles I love the most-alligators, snakes, alligators, turtles, alligators, skinks and lizards-well, you get the idea. I have always loved the ectotherms I grew up with in central Florida-we used to swim with gators, and my first rescue was a little alligator I named Squeaky.  I was all of 11 years old.  Steve Irwin was right-someone must love the unloveable.

Welcome to My Site!

We hope you enjoy your visit!  Please visit the photo page for all the pictures you might have missed from times past, since the site is updated regularly.  Feel free to print them and share them, but please give me credit for them.  Please be sure to sign our guest book, too!

The guestbook is now up and running!  And feel free to e-mail me with any further comments and suggestions...just be sure to put Terra Mau Feedback on the subject line of the e-mails!

The Saddest News Of All

We are saddened beyond belief to announce the passing over the Rainbow Bridge of our husband and rescue partner of 25 years, James Robert Penney ll.

Bob died on July 20, 2012 of complications to his lifelong Myotonic Muscular Dystrophy and inoperable lung cancer.  He was not just the love of my life, he, through his unfailing support, documentation, care of the shelter animals, love of the reptiles I love, and not being sorry he was always "second  fiddle" to the alligators was indeed the most perfect partner this rescuer will ever meet.

His loss has left a hole in my life I may never fill again. After all, where would I find another who would never question the rescue calls in the middle of the night, be a goumet chef, cameraman, house husband, and lover of this sometimes mud, blood, dirt covered rescuer.  Goodbye, my love...Love never dies, and I will miss you until I cross the Bridge. You can see his picture on the photos throughout this site.

Snowy is looking good!

Snowy is adjusting to being back inside after spending the summer in the yard.  He got a slight cold when the weather turned bad, so we brought him over to Dads.
